Acer is known for being a cheap computer with cheap parts. You can get a hit or miss with acer. This computer is said to make Acer's name better but I am not convinced. The Acer has a 8" screen but is the same size as the Averatec, Lenovo, and HP model which have 10" screens. I feel that I am getting cheated the 2 inches. The computer would be great for what you are looking to use it for, but I would not put all your eggs in one basket. Lenovo makes the same computer with a bigger screen for 50 bucks more, also you get a name brand that rocks. Hope that helps!

I bought 2...what do you want to know about it?
I got the 1.6ghz one...1 gig ram..120 gig hd. In every sense of the word its just like any other pc, except its smaller.
It runs winxp home..which means it also run every windows program there is. I even have Diablo II and Guild Wars on it.
I have an older Acer 15" laptop...works fine too, never gave me any problems.
